ABOUT AGERA
Agera Women's Shelter is a professional organization working for a society free from violence. The women's shelter currently has 14 employees and approximately 35 volunteers. We are members of the national organization Unizon. Women and children are our focus, and we work based on respect for the equal value of all people. Our sheltered housing accommodates 10 women with accompanying children. We also offer support sessions to those seeking help via our counseling center.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Social Administrator, you will be an important service-oriented support function in our shared housing. You will staff our reception and phone, and be available to interact with women who come to the reception. You will be able to facilitate contact between residents and counselors, as well as between counselors and external parties such as social services.
You will play a key role in the organization's administration, structure, and internal control.
Furthermore, your role is important for the practical operation of the sheltered housing, including mail handling, purchasing, receiving visitors, and maintaining quality in the living environment.
We are looking for someone who is self-assured, has good planning and initiative skills, is structured, and has a personal drive to get things done. You are perceptive and easily adapt to different people and situations. You can prioritize, be flexible, and handle many tasks at once. You take responsibility for your work tasks. You have strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.
This is a permanent position that begins with a 6-month probationary period.
Duties
As a Social Assistant, you ensure accessibility in the sheltered housing, assist with some practical support for residents, handle administration, and are responsible for the housing premises. Working at a women's shelter involves stepping in where needed without losing structure. You will:
- Staff the housing reception and phone
- Serve as a link between external parties, residents, and counselors
- Provide some practical support to residents
- Be responsible for the sheltered housing premises and contribute to a good living environment for those affected by violence
- Be responsible for purchasing
- Be responsible for administration related to the organization's daily operations
- Respond to donation inquiries
- Be responsible for follow-up of your area of responsibility and tasks
- Contribute to a healthy work environment for you and your colleagues
- Contribute to operational and method development based on the organization's goals and objectives
Qualifications
- Relevant education is required for the position
- Previous experience in administrative tasks, preferably in social services or supported housing
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Meriting
- Experience working with intimate partner violence
- Experience working at a women's shelter, social services, or other social operations
- Language skills in addition to Swedish
