Cantor sought for Lidhult, Odensjö and Vrå parishes

The Lidhult, Odensjö and Vrå parishes are now seeking a Cantor with a church musician degree at least at C-level, or alternatively a parish musician with relevant experience from parish life in the Swedish Church.

Jesus says: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few…” Matt 9:37

Far beyond centralization, large-scale operations and corporate thinking, there are parishes longing for a cantor with a heart for and in the small parish with its great possibilities.

Here we fight against parish amalgamations! With us the parishes remain intact. We want it to continue that way!

The Lidhult, Odensjö and Vrå parishes are now seeking:

Cantor with a church musician degree at least at C-level

or

Parish musician with relevant experience from parish life in the Swedish Church.

Here there are masses, services, family services, music services.

Here there is local commitment and responsibility among parishioners and parish councils.

Here there is a dedicated church choir.

Here there is a stable confirmation ministry year after year.

Here we let young leaders grow.

Here there are good contacts with both schools and elderly care facilities that are neighbors to the church.

Here there are parish councils with real delegations, even for finances.

Here there are parish leaders, a deacon assistant, parish assistant and caretaker who help each other out.

Here there are passionate people with a heart in and for their church and their village.

But...

our current cantor is retiring this autumn.

We build parish life through encounters with people, which means that this is one of your strengths. We work in teams, which means that you find it easy to cooperate with both employees and volunteers. We work with love for God and our fellow beings, which means that you find joy in that work.
