Project Manager for new project in food supply
Description
Interested in working with traditional methods to create a more secure food supply? Do you want to work with risk analysis, business development, and the future of food preparedness?
About the position
The Rural Economy and Agricultural Society Jämtland is seeking a project manager for the project 'Traditional methods for secure food supply'. The project is part of a larger national initiative funded by the Swedish Board of Agriculture, where several projects are conducted in parallel.
The project targets businesses involved in reindeer husbandry, mountain dairy farming, and forest grazing. The target group is geographically dispersed, primarily in northern Sweden, requiring a working approach that functions over large distances and is adapted to the local conditions of the businesses.
The project's focus is to strengthen the robustness of the food sector through risk analyses, scenario exercises, and business development. The analyses will be implemented in real companies and contribute to concrete business development that makes a difference. Experiences and methods from the project will also be compiled into guides for continued use and national dissemination.
Your duties
As project manager, you are responsible for leading the project's implementation in close dialogue with the target group. The work includes planning, execution, follow-up, and reporting to the financer. The project is carried out in close collaboration with other initiatives and projects within the Rural Economy and Agricultural Society.
A central part of the assignment is the risk analyses and scenario exercises, which are then to be translated into practical action, for example through adapted business strategies, collaborative solutions, or changed working methods.
You are also responsible for collecting and structuring experiences from the companies and contributing to the development of educational guides that make the project's results useful for more actors.
The work involves travel within and outside Jämtland County, as well as participation in international contexts.
We are looking for
We are looking for someone with relevant academic education in project management, rural development, social issues, education, business development, or equivalent experience. You preferably have experience in risk analysis, scenario work, or preparedness issues, especially in contexts where analysis is applied to businesses. Experience in business development and work with small-scale enterprises is meritorious.
Educational experience in leading workshops, training sessions, or processes is an asset, as is an established network within the green industries, organizations, or authorities.
Who are we?
