Who is Familjen?

Familjen is a secure and committed employer with over fifteen years of experience in personal assistance for children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities. We operate and have assistant groups throughout Sweden, from north to south, but our office is located in Täby, just outside Stockholm.

The company's founder and owner has himself worked as a personal assistant. This gives us extra insight into the profession and everyday life in assistance – and is an important strength in our work to create secure teams and deliver high-quality person-centered assistance.

About the workplace

I am a man who uses a wheelchair and needs support in daily life. As my assistant, you will help me with daily chores – but the job is also about companionship, security, and creating a functional and pleasant everyday life together. You will also support me with regular rehabilitation training and exercise sessions.

I enjoy:

• baking and cooking good snacks
• painting and being creative
• spending time with grandchildren
• being outdoors when weather and daily condition allow
• having a quiet coffee at home – or at a café in town

I like to follow the news and appreciate conversations about what is happening in the world. I also enjoy trying new things – so if you have ideas and energy, feel free to drag me along for everyday adventures and even a little mischief!

There are also younger children in the home, and we have a home where it is easy to feel welcome.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is cheerful, social, and enjoys working closely with people. Humor is important here – we appreciate someone who has a twinkle in their eye and can contribute to a relaxed and secure atmosphere.

Of course, you will receive a thorough introduction and learn the routines at the start, but we hope you are:

About the employment

We can offer available shifts immediately on a part-time basis. During the summer, full-time is offered and for the right person, there will be an available part-time schedule (38.75%) after the summer, which includes:

• Every other weekend (Fri–Sun)

09:00–14.00 + 16.00–20.00

• Every other week, one Thursday

09:00–14.00 + 16.30–20.00

There is a possibility for more hours during vacation and other absences.

Requirements

• You need to speak and understand Swedish fluently, as the work requires clear communication.
• As there are children in the home, you need to provide a current extract from the criminal record (maximum 2 months old). The extract is ordered digitally via the Police website and then sent to us.
