At Trolle Ljungby School, we are now looking for a dedicated, driven, and warm co-worker who wants to work in our after-school care center and as a resource for a student with diabetes during the school day.

About the position

The position involves varied and meaningful work. During the school day, you will work closely with a student with diabetes, providing support based on the student's medical needs. This may involve assisting with routines related to blood sugar monitoring, pump, meals, insulin management as prescribed, and creating safety and structure during the school day. In the afternoon, you will also be part of the after-school care center's activities, contributing to a safe, creative, and developing environment that offers meaningful leisure time for our students.

You will collaborate closely with guardians, educators, and other staff to ensure the student receives the necessary support to fully participate in the school day.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is meticulous and comfortable following medical routines
• Has an education in pedagogical work, such as childminder, teaching assistant, or leisure leader, and knowledge of diabetes care
• Has experience working with clear pedagogy and structure
• Is secure, warm, and clear in your approach
• Has the ability to build relationships and create trust
• Is flexible and can adapt your working methods to students' needs
• Has a strong commitment to children's development, safety, and learning

Experience working as a student resource, with diabetes or other medical self-care in a school environment, and in after-school care is meritorious.
