Teacher leisure-time centre / leisure-time pedagogue Activity Manager
Description
From good to even better – with your help
The independent school Metis in Skara is now looking for a new colleague who wants to help develop our leisure-time centre. Our school unit includes 200 students from preschool class to grade 9, of which about 70 are enrolled in the leisure-time centre. In addition, the adjacent preschool, Athena, is a natural part of our operation.
About us
Our leisure-time centre is the face of the school and is characterized by daily meetings with guardians. We have a close collaboration with other school staff – for example, one of the school staff members is a Friday guest every regular school Friday. Here, care and pedagogy are combined, and we actively work to ensure that the norms and values established in the curriculum permeate our daily work. We see the students' play as their work, which leads to increased knowledge and personal development.
Our philosophy is based on the idea that “children do right if they can.” We help students develop their abilities, knowledge, and skills so that they can become independent and responsible citizens. Together, we want to think differently about learning, teaching, well-being, and safety by trying new methods and approaches that create opportunities for each student to reach their full potential. We believe that courage, creativity, and collaboration give us the tools to achieve high goals – for all students.
