Friskolan Metis in Skara is seeking a sloyd teacher who wants to help develop teaching in a school where innovation, engagement, and student focus are central.

We are a small school unit with just over 200 students from preschool class to grade 9, where we work to create a safe and inspiring learning environment. With us, each student is seen, every teacher is important, and every day is an opportunity to grow – for both students and staff.

About the role

As a sloyd teacher in lower secondary school, you will play a key role in students’ development and learning.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

✔ Inspire and challenge students in their learning through varied teaching methods.

✔ Collaborate with engaged colleagues to develop the school’s pedagogical practice.

✔ Contribute to a safe and stimulating school environment, where students can develop both academically and socially.

✔ Be a clear leader and a responsive educator who sees each student and their individual needs.

You work closely with your team to plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching in accordance with governing documents and the school’s vision. The role requires resourcefulness, creativity, and flexibility to meet students' diverse conditions and create a learning environment where everyone can succeed.
