We are looking for an engaged and relationship-building safety host/student support for our primary school. In this role, you will become an important part of the school's work to create safety, study peace, and good conditions for all students' development.

Videdals Privatskolor is an independent operation with preschool, school, and after-school care under one roof. We work from a 1–16 year perspective, where we want to give every child and student a safe and educational time from preschool to grade 9. At Videdals Privatskolor, we strive for all children and students to develop based on their needs and interests regardless of age. You will work in a smaller organization with a holistic approach and quick decision-making paths, close to managers and guardians, where children and students are in focus. We want a joyful workplace where we have fun together.

About the position

As a safety host/student support, you work closely with students in their daily lives. You are present during breaks to create safety and good relationships, act as social support, and contribute to a positive school environment. You will also enter classrooms for targeted interventions for individual students, mainly in middle and high school. Part of the position also includes support and help at the cafeteria and after-school care.

The position aims to strengthen the school's ability to meet students' needs for support in teaching, increase access to student-near adult support, and contribute to increased safety and study peace.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a break host and actively contribute to a safe and inclusive outdoor environment
• Act as social support for students during the school day
• Carry out targeted interventions in classrooms in collaboration with educators
• Contribute to increased study peace and good relationships between students
• Cooperate with teachers and student health team regarding students in need of support
• Some part of the work in after-school care
• Support and help before and during lunch

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has great joy in work, commitment, is sensitive and clear in your communication with students and colleagues in the team. You are independent, responsible, solution-focused, and have good empathic ability, where you create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues with a professional approach.

• Have a high school education
• Experience working in school or with young people
• Have a genuine interest in working with children and young people
• Are confident, sensitive, and have good ability to build relationships
• Are flexible and can adapt to different situations and needs
• Have good cooperation skills and a solution-focused approach
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
