
Traveling Service Technician for Medical Technology Equipment

Synos Medical AB is now offering a position as a traveling service technician with customer visits around Sweden. The role suits someone who has a solid technical foundation, enjoys practical troubleshooting, and thrives with freedom under responsibility.
You do not need to know our specific products from the start — we will train you on the equipment, systems, and our routines. However, you must have previous experience in technical service work and be confident in methodical troubleshooting.
About the position
The position will initially be part-time with the goal of transitioning to full-time at a later stage. As a traveling service technician at Synos Medical AB, you will work at our customers' sites in various locations across Sweden. You are responsible for service, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of components on medical technology equipment.
The work involves both practical technical work and documentation. You will fill in service reports, repair reports, checklists, fault reports, and other technical documentation according to current routines.
You will largely plan your own work schedule and are responsible for ensuring your assignments are carried out professionally, structured, and safely. In the role, you will also have contact with customers, colleagues, and international lead technicians, including from Italy and Korea.
Job duties
In the role, you will among other things:
- Perform service, troubleshooting, and repair of medical technology equipment at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot technical problems at system, component, and circuit board level.
- Replace and repair components, circuit boards, and spare parts as needed.
- Work with electrical measurements and technical troubleshooting.
- Use measuring instruments and safety test equipment, such as electrical safety testers.
- Conduct checks according to checklists, service protocols, and technical instructions.
- Document completed work in service reports, repair reports, and fault reports.
- Have technical dialogue with international lead technicians and suppliers in English.
- Plan your workdays and travel to customers in various locations across Sweden.
To succeed in the role, we believe you have
- Experience in service, troubleshooting, or repair of technical equipment.
- Good understanding of electrical theory and electronics, and accustomed to using this knowledge in practical troubleshooting, measurement, and repair.
- Familiarity with using measuring instruments and troubleshooting in a structured manner.
- Understanding of circuit boards, components, and technical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow service instructions.
- Enjoy a mobile job where you travel to customers in various locations and take responsibility for your assignments on site.
- Comfortable with independently planning your workdays, often with freedom under responsibility.
- Good English in both speech and writing, as technical support and documentation are often in English.
- Good Swedish in both speech and writing.
- Driver's license B.
It is advantageous if you have experience in
- Medical technology equipment.
- Troubleshooting or repair at circuit board or component level.
- Electrical safety testers or similar safety test equipment.
- Servers, IT hardware, networks, or laboratory equipment.
- Work in hospital, laboratory, or healthcare environments.
- Technical communication with international support teams or suppliers.
