Senior Test Automation

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and self-driven test consultant with deep expertise in test automation and accessibility for an assignment with a major public organization in Stockholm. The assignment involves leading, coaching, and taking operational responsibility for testing and automation in a team responsible for the operation, maintenance, and further development of an external website of central importance.

The role is critical to the team's delivery capability and requires a consultant who can work independently, drive quality work forward, and inspire other team members to integrate quality thinking into all parts of the development process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the team in testing and automation work with a focus on high quality, accessibility, and stability
• Identify, create, and implement test cases and continuously improve the team's test strategies
• Take responsibility for E2E test automation and ensure testing covers both functional and non-functional requirements
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and UX to integrate quality assurance throughout the development process
• Build and document a structured quality assurance process within the team
• Drive accessibility work according to WCAG and ensure compliance in deliverables
• Take active ownership to continuously develop, improve, and follow up the team's working methods in testing and test automation

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in automated frontend testing with tools such as Playwright and/or Cypress
• At least 5 years of experience in implementing WCAG level AA 2.1
• At least 5 years of experience in creating test automation in E2E tests
• At least 2 years of experience working in cross-functional agile teams with roles such as developers, UX, and product owners
• At least 5 years of experience in designing test scenarios and effective test cases that cover functional and non-functional requirements
• At least 5 years of experience with explicit responsibility for developing, improving, and following up the team's testing and test automation
• At least 5 years of experience in testing cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience in creating test automation in CI/CD pipeline
• Experience in performing and analyzing performance tests, directly in the browser as well as with tools such as NeoLoad
• Experience in the role of frontend developer
• Knowledge of React, Angular or Vue
• Experience with Browserstack
• Experience with WCAG level AA 2.2
• Experience with CMS Sitevision

Start: 2026-06-01 Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension by 11 months) Location: Stockholm (hybrid, up to 50% remote)
