We are Ostbutiken Odengatan.
We are a small, specialist shop at Odengatan 33 - an address that has housed dairy and cheese for almost 100 years - and we have a goal: to become Europe's best delicatessen. We make that promise to our producers, our customers, and to each other, every day we open our doors. We import our goods directly from small, dedicated producers, people who put their whole heart into their raw materials. We take that responsibility seriously when we meet our customers. With us, we choose the raw material's story over the market's convenience, and we choose the personal relationship over the anonymous large-scale. About the position
This role is for you who is a trained chef and have gotten stuck on the cold kitchen, or you who have worked your way through a café business and feel ready to take the next step, the step to greater responsibility.
You are responsible for the service - salads, sandwiches, and simpler hot dishes. You work in a team with a colleague and you are jointly responsible for your station functioning from morning to evening, as well as for the plating of catering sent out from the kitchen. This is a role we see taking shape by autumn - but we want you to come in and trial work already now, get to know the environment, and create a clear picture of what is expected of you.
What you will do with us
● Handle in-store service: salads, sandwiches, and simpler hot dishes on demand
● Work together with a colleague and share responsibility for your department running smoothly
● Plating and dispatch of catering from the kitchen
● Switch smoothly between store opening during the day and closing in the evening
This is you
● Have a few years of experience from a café or kitchen and feel it's time to take the next step
● Curious about flavor combinations, seasons, and the origin of ingredients
● Self-driven, structured, and comfortable taking responsibility for the whole
● Like variety and thrive working at a fast pace with clear expectations
Practical
● Rotating schedule
● The position starts in autumn, trial work is welcome already now
● We are looking for both full-time and part-time
● We follow collective agreements
