Seasonal Employment – Purchasing & Production (Mushroom and Berry Season July 1–October 31 2026)

Wermlands Skogsförråd AB in Kil is a family-owned company specializing in wild mushrooms and berries, a store, and contract services. During the autumn, the mushroom and berry operations are a central part of the company, where we purchase raw materials from a large number of private individuals and deliver to customers in Sweden and internationally.

We are now looking for two seasonal employees who want to work both in purchasing and production during the period July 1–October 31.

About the role

This is a combined role where you work both in purchasing and handling in cold storage and production. The work is varied and scheduled according to needs – some days you work with purchasing and others with production and packaging.

Purchasing duties:

• Receive and assess incoming mushrooms according to guidelines
• Register purchases in the business system
• Manage payments according to routines
• Maintain daily contact with pickers and provide clear feedback

Production duties:

• Sorting and packing mushrooms
• Manage cold chain and goods flow
• Internal logistics and material handling
• Cleaning and hygiene work

You work at a fast pace together with colleagues in the entire mushroom operation.

Working hours:

• Schedule with variation between day, evening, and weekend
• Every other weekend included
• Working days can be flexible and end when the daily flow is processed

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who thrives with physical and social work at a fast pace.

Personal qualities:

• Good physical capacity (a lot of lifting and movement)
• Social and confident in interactions with people
• Good sense of service, especially in contact with suppliers/pickers
• Responsible and reliable
• Able to work in a structured manner even under time pressure
• Enjoys both practical tasks and supplier contact

Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills
• Swedish in speech (English is an advantage)
• Forklift license is an advantage but not required

No prior mushroom knowledge required – you will receive training before and during the season.
