The assignment as group manager

You independently take responsibility in your leadership and are a role model through commitment and equal treatment. You act professionally and contribute to development and are results- and solution-oriented. As manager of the Digital Citizen Service 3 group, you report to the section manager and are part of the section's management team, where we together are responsible for carrying out assignments and driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group's operations and its results. As group manager, you represent the entire Swedish Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen confidence in police operations.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • academic education in IT relevant to the function
  • at least 6 months of continuous experience working as a manager with personnel responsibility
  • experience participating in change and development work
  • experience working according to agile methods
  • experience from a product owner role
  • very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • the role requires Swedish citizenship.

We consider it meritorious if you also have:

  • experience working with websites or e-services
  • experience leading others towards set goals and results
  • manager and leadership training for direct, indirect and/or strategic level

Description of the workplace

Working for the Police means creating security in people's lives every day. We are now looking for you who want to help lead the development of the police's digital citizen service. As group manager for Digital Citizen Service 3 in the IT department, you will have a key role in shaping the police's websites and e-services.

About the role and the team

The group is part of the Digital Citizen Service section, which has overall responsibility for the police's websites and e-services. Work is conducted according to agile principles with a focus on short delivery cycles, continuous improvements and close collaboration with the business. The managerial assignment is combined with the role of product owner, where you are responsible for ensuring that the team delivers maximum value to citizens and the business in each iteration. Your group consists of requirements specifiers and UX designers, assignment managers and system developers, and is located in both Gothenburg and Stockholm. The position therefore involves regular travel, mainly to Stockholm.
