We are looking for someone who wants to work to coordinate the member municipalities' public health work, with an initial focus on drug prevention. Through collaboration, the municipalities in the Fyrbodal region can become stronger together in drug prevention. The position also includes operational work that gives the municipalities strengthened local implementation capacity. The position is financed via the Västra Götaland Region's subregional northern board, which, in dialogue with the municipalities' public health strategists, has identified a need to strengthen the conditions for local work by establishing a subregional coordinating position in collaboration with the Fyrbodal Municipal Association.

Your closest colleagues are in the welfare development department and work in coordinating, preventive, and promotional work with a focus on children and young people, welfare skills supply, social services, and municipal health and medical care.

Job Responsibilities

Your mission is to strengthen and coordinate the municipalities' preventive work, with an initial focus on drug prevention and alcohol, narcotics, doping, tobacco, and gambling (ANDTS). Local conditions and needs determine what content the municipalities want from the position. Assignments can have both strategically coordinating content and implementation of practical measures and activities, designed in harmony with local work already underway. The assignment includes having and continuously monitoring current knowledge of what is happening in the field and being able to convey this to the parties involved. Another assignment is to establish a knowledge bank for public health initiatives financed within the framework of the municipalities' public health agreements and to keep this knowledge bank current and updated, with the aim of spreading good examples that strengthen local work.

Your cooperation partners include, for example, municipally employed public health strategists, drug prevention coordinators, the police, and the county administrative board.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

· has a relevant university degree in public health or equivalent that the employer considers comparable.

· has experience in ANDTS preventive work.

· has experience in collaboration between different societal actors.

· has experience in development-supportive working methods in processes or projects.

· has experience of working based on the conditions that characterize a public and politically controlled operation.

Personal qualities important for the position

We are looking for someone who is engaged and interested in coordination work. As a person, you need to have good collaboration skills to be able to create working forums and participate in various working groups. You must be able to work independently and structurally to drive and carry out the work, both at strategic and operational levels. You need to feel comfortable communicating and speaking in front of both small and large groups. You have good analytical ability and can switch between strategic and operational business perspectives.

It is important to have the ability to structurally drive processes forward while being highly sensitive to different local needs and conditions. A problem-solving attitude that you can also convey to others is important in the assignment. You need to have a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing and to compile and present complex information in an easily accessible way.
