Tax Specialist
The role as tax specialist for EMEA and the Nordic region entails overall responsibility for ensuring that the company's tax management, planning, and strategy comply with applicable laws and regulations in these regions. This position is part of the global tax team and reports to the Head of Global Tax.
In this role, you are expected to be responsible for the company's direct taxes being declared and paid on time, as well as handling any audits and inquiries from tax authorities. You will also review both current and deferred tax calculations and ensure that tax provisions under local accounting principles are correct. An important part of the work is keeping updated on changes in local and international tax legislation and ensuring these are implemented in the business. Furthermore, you are responsible for maintaining strong internal control procedures to reduce tax risks, as well as cooperating with external advisors and auditors to ensure accurate reporting.
To succeed in this role, you have a university degree in law, economics, or a related field, as well as at least five years of relevant experience in the tax area. You have a good understanding of financial processes and systems, and possess strong analytical skills together with good communication and project management competencies. You also have good knowledge of both international and local tax rules, and combine this with a business-oriented mindset and high integrity.
