The IT department's primary task is to provide IT services to the entire Swedish Police Authority. The IT department is a crucial part of crime prevention and crime-fighting efforts, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining the police and increasing the quality of police work. The IT department develops and modernizes police IT, and the agency is heavily investing in strengthening the department with new specialist competences and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in police operations.
For this position, the office is located in Gothenburg, where we offer flexible working hours with the possibility to work from home up to two days a week.
Delivery and Support delivers, maintains, coordinates, and manages the technology that the agency's employees use in their work. Delivery and Support provides support for all technology used by core operations.
Job description
As an IT Coordinator with us, you will become a key player in our Delivery Coordination team, with overall responsibility for planning and coordinating the introduction of new technology. Your role is varied and involves working both independently and in teams, with a broad network of contacts internally and externally. You will collaborate daily with product owners, contractors, other agencies, and our internal operations. Travel is part of the job.
Your assignments
Assignments vary in scope and may include:
- IT coordination for construction of new police stations.
- Adaptations when changes to existing premises are made.
- Implementation of new systems and tools that develop police work.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent acquired experience deemed equivalent by the Swedish Police Authority
- Current and documented professional experience in coordinating and planning IT-related projects.
- Very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
- Swedish-issued Class B driver's license
- The position requires Swedish citizenship.
It is advantageous if you also have:
- Experience in documentation and development of routines/processes
- Experience in building networks and working with IT technical infrastructure
- Experience in physical security systems such as access control, alarm, and camera systems
- Experience in participating in change and development work
- Experience working in agile environments, where you actively used tools such as Jira and Confluence (or equivalent) for planning, follow-up, and knowledge management
