Job Description
The IT environment at the police's IT department is unique. It is large and complex, creating a varied and challenging everyday life where we face an eventful period with a lot of new development. You and your colleagues work together on architecture and implementation with the mission to create a world-class investigation system. The role involves great responsibility – not only for development but also for the operational platform, technology, and competence – providing you with a unique opportunity to have more influence than in many other large organizations.
In our IT department, all groups are responsible for the entire product lifecycle, i.e., new development, further development, and maintenance. A workday can include everything from participating in needs/requirements work where you contribute ideas to solutions, to developing new capabilities, maintaining existing systems, or solving critical security issues. Here we are constantly challenged to think in new ways as we have a complex problem domain with high demands on availability, reliability, and performance.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Several years of relevant experience in system development with a focus on Java.
- Relevant post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience assessed by the Swedish Police Authority as equivalent.
- Good knowledge of Swedish.
- Swedish citizenship.
It is also meritorious if you have documented experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Working in leading roles such as Tech Lead/Lead Developer
- Platform/backend (Linux, JBoss servers, APIs, Maven)
- Critical systems with complex integrations
- SQL databases
- CI/CD pipelines running on Jenkins
- GitOps, Bitbucket
- Kubernetes/OpenShift
- SpringBoot and microservices
Personal Qualities
Here you will work in an agile, self-organizing team with great opportunities to influence your daily work. We see that you are a person who can identify opportunities and areas for improvement in our constantly changing environment, bring them to attention, and then take responsibility for addressing them. You are a curious and driven team player who is easy to communicate and collaborate with. Our goal is to deliver the right thing at the right time, and through knowledge sharing and common progress in both technology and working methods, we constantly challenge ourselves. It is important for us that you are the right person and that you want to develop together with us.
