The short-term accommodation provides care with support according to SoL for patient groups who need the opportunity to recover after illness or injury, as well as other interventions.
In our permanent places, we offer accommodation for people with a dementia diagnosis. Together, we create a safe and stable living environment and adequate care for all stages of life for those with dementia.
Hammarbyslott consists of 48 apartments operated in a home-like environment with nature close at hand. The manor has preserved the beautiful architecture with high ceilings combined with modern standards and retained plenty of natural light and generous open spaces for socializing.
Examples of impairments (Alzheimer's, frontal lobe dementia, multi-infarct dementia and alcohol-related dementia).
Hammarbyslott also has access to an activity center with various activities from Monday to Friday.
For our operations, we are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. You will be part of a team consisting of nurses, a physiotherapist, care staff and a quality coordinator.
Work duties
Work duties include planning various activities/rehabilitation based on residents' resources and weaknesses, and leading the activities - individually and in groups.
It is important that you have previous experience assessing and mapping activity ability from a cognitive perspective, enjoy leading various group activities such as gymnastics and cooking, and have a talent for motivating groups. There is constant development work in the organization, and we hope you want to be part of it together with us.
The aim of the operations is to maintain and strengthen the target group's functions through an activating and function-maintaining approach.
As an occupational therapist, you have a special responsibility for assessing the need for activation ability as well as cognitive abilities, formulating goals, and establishing plans for support and training based on the individual's conditions. The work also includes collaboration with an activity coach, residents, staff, and relatives.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is committed, independent, proactive, responsible, and solution-focused, with good communication and pedagogical skills and a genuine interest in working with the aging population. A salutogenic approach is a prerequisite. In your work as an occupational therapist, you find together with the care recipient the best ways to use their own abilities in daily life. You support and motivate the individual to develop and maintain their physical, cognitive, and social abilities, focusing on a meaningful and dignified day based on their wishes and needs. Often this involves making assessments and adapting the everyday environment. You test and prescribe physical and cognitive aids. You supervise care staff in rehabilitative interventions, approaches, and transfer techniques. Other tasks may include conducting risk assessments, organizing trainings, working according to BPSD, collaborating with various agencies, and participating in development work to improve care quality.
In your work we see that you:
Are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks.
Are perceptive and relational in meetings with residents and their relatives.
Have good empathetic ability, a good demeanor, are calm and positive, have good cooperation skills, are flexible and innovative, and see opportunities.
You must master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
