Who we are

Förskolan Valen Valle is a parent cooperative located in Vallkärra, a small village adjacent to Lund. Our operations take place in a beautiful setting with access to a large garden. In our teaching, we also utilize our lovely surroundings such as fields, horse pastures, various playgrounds, and green spaces in the nearby area.

We are now seeking a driven and proactive principal who, together with staff, parents, and children, wants to continue developing our operations.

The preschool is divided into two departments, one for younger children and one for older children. The facility can accommodate a maximum of 35 children. The principal, staff, and board work for a positive and transparent organization where participation and responsibility go hand in hand. This is the key to success since Valen Valle is a parent cooperative where parents do not participate in the daily operations.

At Valen Valle, we want to put the children in focus. We want to meet each individual child where they are and together create conditions for learning. Our aim is to develop and adapt our environment based on the child's needs. To achieve this, we use collegial learning and a common goal with a well-communicated quality assurance plan that points the direction, creates conditions, and opportunities for all children to develop. A success factor in this work is a high staff-to-child ratio and a tight-knit team.

Job responsibilities

For our preschool, we are looking for a principal who wants to work close to the operations and contribute with previous experience to, together with staff, create an environment where both children and employees develop. The position is divided into 30% administrative tasks and the remaining 70% where you, as principal, are expected to participate in the operations and in the children's group.

As principal at Förskolan Valen Valle, you will lead the pedagogical work and ensure a safe and developing operation. Your assignment includes taking responsibility for personnel, work environment, facilities, and operational matters in consultation with the board. We strive for an operation where there is an opportunity to influence and grow, both as a child and as an employee.

You are responsible for creating the framework for a preschool with safe children and guardians, and for supporting employees through clear structure and routines in accordance with the pedagogical plan and annual cycle for the operation. By leading and distributing work, having overall responsibility for the development and provision of preschool education in accordance with the Education Act, and within given budget frames, you will achieve success together with staff and the board.

You are used to driving and evaluating processes as well as driving pedagogical development work. That you, as principal, work operatively in the children's group, you see as an asset and opportunity to support employees in their development.

You have the ability to step into the professional role and can handle the demands placed by laws, governing documents, curriculum, employees, and parents.

To take on this role, we see that you are a trained principal with experience in leading development work in similar operations. You also have several years of experience in pedagogical activities and are well-versed in the governing documents, laws, and agreements that regulate the operation.
