Subproject Manager Scheduling – Infrastructure Railway
Description
We are seeking an experienced subproject manager within scheduling for a qualified assignment in Investment West, Unit 2 Railway (IVväj2). The assignment is linked to the Contact Line Factory program and involves work in several parallel railway projects.
The consultant will work closely with both program and project management, providing strategic and operational expertise in planning, monitoring, and managing schedules in complex infrastructure projects.
The work is performed both from the office and in the field during production stages, which involves travel to project sites. Working hours may sometimes include evenings, nights, and weekends depending on the production phase.
Your main responsibilities
As subproject manager for scheduling, you will:
- Coordinate the planning work of the contact line factory
- Lead and develop scheduling work in projects and programs
- Develop and implement routines, templates, and working methods for scheduling
- Participate in the preparation and quality assurance of project schedules
- Train and support the organization in scheduling, tools, and methods
- Develop requirements for planning in procurement documents
- Review and monitor contractors' and designers' schedules and documentation
- Ensure that competence and authorization requirements for contractor personnel are met
- Participate in construction, financial, and follow-up meetings
- Prepare forecasts, monitor progress, and report on time, cost, and status
- Participate in procurements and contract follow-up
- Handle deviations and follow up on contract requirements
- Coordinate with technical areas, adjacent contracts, and external stakeholders
- Maintain ongoing contact with contractors, designers, and authorities
- Ensure that projects are carried out according to contract, requirements, and applicable regulations
- Contribute to knowledge transfer to the Swedish Transport Administration's internal organization

The assignment entails great responsibility in complex infrastructure environments where multiple technical disciplines interact. You will act as a key person in ensuring structure, progress, and quality in scheduling throughout the project lifecycle – from design to production.

Requirements profile
Education
- University or college degree of at least 180 credits in civil engineering, technology, or other relevant field
- Alternatively, equivalent education combined with relevant experience
Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in scheduling or production planning within infrastructure, industry, or energy
- At least 4 years of experience from complex projects where scheduling was the main responsibility
Languages
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written
Meriting (if applicable)
- Experience from railway projects or contact line work
- Experience in contract management and procurement processes
- Experience working in a production-close environment
