Description

Do you want to build the future skills supply for industry in Västerbotten?

We are now looking for a Regional Process Leader for Teknikcollege Västerbotten.

Our region is one of the most expansive in the country. At the same time, pressure on industry is increasing. Companies need to transition to more sustainable production solutions, find the right skills, and build networks for the future. IUC Norr plays an important role here.

At IUC Norr, we work closely with industrial companies to translate needs into concrete actions – from analysis to implementation. We build structures, run projects, and create collaborations that strengthen companies' competitiveness both now and in the long term.

We have come far in establishing Teknikcollege Västerbotten and are now planning for its launch – while awaiting funding decisions, we are seeking a Regional Process Leader who wants to be part of the startup phase of forming Teknikcollege Västerbotten and turning this into concrete projects together with industry and our partners.

Teknikcollege is a national collaboration model initiated by the Industry Council, where industrial companies, training providers, and the public sector jointly develop education that meets industry needs. Read more at www.teknikcollege.se

About the job

This is the role for you who wants to make a real difference. As a regional process leader at IUC Norr, you will have a key position in the development of industry in northern Sweden – where education meets business and the right skills are crucial for competitiveness.

In the startup phase, you will have main responsibility for process-leading the establishment of Teknikcollege Västerbotten. This means you act as a unifying force and drive the work forward by uniting businesses, education providers, and the public sector around a common direction – from establishment to long-term operation.

The role combines development work, project management, and collaboration – both strategically and operationally. You work in several contexts: locally in Västerbotten's municipalities, regionally in the county, and nationally within Teknikcollege, in close interaction with other regions and stakeholders.

You report directly to the CEO of IUC Norr and work on behalf of the regional steering group for Teknikcollege Västerbotten. The role involves close collaboration with companies, municipalities, the region, universities, and training providers, as well as with other process leaders within Teknikcollege Sweden. You are part of IUC Norr's project operations and work both independently and with colleagues, depending on the nature of the assignment. The position involves travel locally, regionally, and nationally.

Your mission is to build a long-term and sustainable structure in two of Sweden's most important collaboration platforms for industrial development – IUC and Teknikcollege. You are not just building a structure – you are contributing to more people choosing the industry and to companies having the right skills to grow.

The work includes:

· Leading the establishment of Teknikcollege Västerbotten – strategically and operationally

· Responsibility for budget, follow-up, and reporting to funders

· Building and developing collaboration between companies and training providers

· Driving communication, advocacy, and visibility for Teknikcollege

· Mapping competence needs and contributing to application and review processes

· Planning and conducting meetings, workshops, and activities

· Acting as regional contact towards the National Association Teknikcollege Sweden

Who are you?

You are an initiator with drive and structure. You thrive in environments where many actors collaborate and where you are the hub that makes things happen.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Experience in project management, coordination, or development work
  • Familiarity with working in collaboration among multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to drive work from idea to implementation

You have documented experience of taking responsibility for progress and results in complex assignments. The role requires that you are comfortable working independently, making decisions, and creating structure in new contexts.

You have a good understanding of how industry skills needs and the education system connect, through experience or education.

Relevant academic education is meritorious, for example in industrial economics, social sciences, HR, or educational science, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.

Why you should work with us

With us, you work at the heart of industrial development in northern Sweden. You become part of a context where we, together with companies and partners, make things happen.

We offer:

· A job where you contribute to the development of industry and the region

· A strong network of companies, experts, and collaboration partners

· Projects clearly linked to real needs and future challenges

· Great opportunities for responsibility and personal development

· A collaborative environment where we learn from each other

We work based on our core values: forward-thinking, trustworthy, and relationship-building.
