About the Role
Statkraft is now seeking a committed and curious employee who, together with a driven team, is responsible for daily planning and optimization of our hydro and wind power portfolio in close cooperation with our central market department in Oslo.
As a production planner, your main focus is the detailed planning/optimization of the portfolio to ensure optimal profitability and compliance with water management regulations for energy production.
In this role, you will:
- Detailed planning and optimization of the region's production portfolio to ensure compliance with water management regulations, court orders, and rules for energy production.
- Investigative work focused on production models and calculations for investment decisions and legal processes.
- Part of the region's expert group on water management regulations, power exchange rules, and other relevant documents and regulations affecting production optimization.
- Investigation and follow-up of water management regulations with external authorities and co-owners.
- Assist the control center during disturbances in accordance with the contingency plan.
- System and tool development as needed.
You will be part of a group of production planners who work operationally according to a rotating schedule, which includes work on weekends as well.
In addition to operational planning, remaining working hours are devoted to development activities based on operational needs and personal interests, such as model development, system development, or calculations related to upcoming investment decisions.
The group is also responsible for compiling and preparing data and statistics used both internally and externally, including in communication with authorities.
Requirements Specification
- Experience in model development
- Experience in planning/optimization in a digital environment within given frameworks
- Comfortable working towards ongoing deadlines and tight time frames
- Good ability to plan and lead activities to optimize production and profitability.
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:
- Knowledge of hydropower production planning
- Experience in Python or other programming languages
- Experience in model development and database management
