Design Engineer at Elkapsling – making a difference in everyday life and society

Do you want to work closely with both customers and production and see your ideas become finished products? Then you could be our next design engineer.

As a design engineer, you become an important part of our team. You work with customer orders daily and ensure that they are turned into drawings and input for production.

Your tasks will include:

• Creating 3D models and manufacturing documentation
• Producing detailed, welding, and assembly drawings
• Preparing production planning and work instructions
• Driving and completing improvement projects internally

Here, you get to work closely with sales, production, and customers – with short decision-making paths and a culture characterized by collaboration.

Who we think you are

You enjoy solving problems and see opportunities in challenges. You are practical, meticulous, and good at collaborating.

We would like you to have:

• University education or equivalent in a relevant field
• A few years of experience in design engineering
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience in project work or project management

We are Elkapsling – a growing industrial company in Alby near Ånge.

Here, we develop, manufacture, and market cabinets, console solutions, enclosures, machine guards, and much more that protect electrical and electronic equipment in demanding environments.

All development and production takes place in our factory in Alby, and our customers are mainly in the Nordic region.

Practical information

We offer flexible working hours with the possibility of hybrid work (offices in Alby and Sundsvall). Ideally, you can be onsite an average of 2 days per week at our headquarters in Alby.
