Patient Support Worker

Alfagruppen is a treatment home that has been providing care and treatment for adults with addiction issues since 1987. The treatment team consists of addiction therapists, nurses, patient support workers, psychiatrists, and psychotherapists.

We are now seeking dedicated patient support workers for our facility. Here you work closely with people in transition and contribute to a safe, structured, and drug-free environment. You play a central role for both the operation and the clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Support patients in daily routines and activities outside treatment hours
• Work in a motivation-enhancing and relationship-building manner
• Supervision and drug testing during on-call shifts
• Practical tasks such as assisting with meals, driving to/from meetings and activities
• Document according to the facility's routines

Qualifications

• Experience in addiction care, HVB (residential care for children/adults), social work, or psychiatry
• Experience working with low-arousal approaches and solution-focused methods
• Good Swedish in spoken and written form
• Experience and knowledge of addiction as a disease and the 12-step program are meritorious
