About the position

We are now looking for an engaged and certified preschool class teacher (primary school teaching program with focus on F-3) to join our team at IES Kista! As a preschool class teacher, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and inspiring transition between preschool and school.

Your tasks include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in the preschool class based on Lgr22.
• Leading the student group with focus on early reading and writing development as well as mathematical understanding.
• Implementing and following up on mandatory assessment materials (e.g., Hitta språket and Hitta matematiken).
• Creating a safe and stimulating learning environment that combines playful learning with school structure.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues in grade 1 and the after-school care to ensure a holistic view of the student's day.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher qualified to teach in preschool class.
• Is passionate about laying the foundation for children's future schooling and academic confidence.
• Is a clear leader in the classroom who works relationally.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, as we operate in a bilingual environment.

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons for our youngest students in accordance with the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22).
• Bridging the gap between preschool and primary school through a mix of play-based and structured learning.
• Conducting mandatory national assessments to identify and support each child's individual needs early on.
• Fostering a bilingual environment where both Swedish and English are naturally integrated.
• Maintaining strong communication with parents to ensure a smooth start to their child’s academic journey.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified teacher with certification for F-klass.
• Is passionate about early childhood education and literacy.
• Is flexible, organized, and enjoys working in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
• Has excellent communication skills in Swedish and/or English.
