Preschool Teacher at Hammenhög Independent School

Hammenhög Independent School is now looking for a licensed preschool teacher for a full-time position. The position is part of a conscious effort to increase the proportion of preschool teachers in the operation, to further strengthen the quality and development of our preschool.

You must be well versed in the Swedish National Curriculum for Preschool (Lpfö 18) and the preschool's regulations. Interest or knowledge in gardening is a merit, as we use nature as a natural part of teaching. Other education and/or experience that the employer deems relevant is also meritorious.

We are looking for someone who is driven by working closely with children and their development. You are confident in your professional role, have good communication skills, and build relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians in a natural way. You are perceptive, flexible, and solution-focused, and you see opportunities where others see obstacles.

You have the ability to work independently, but thrive just as well in close collaboration with your work team. You actively contribute to a positive work environment where treatment, responsibility and commitment make a difference.

We work with modern communication and information technology (ICT) and expect you to have good digital skills. You will, among other things, use Meitner for documentation and communication with guardians and also work in Google Workspace as a natural part of everyday life.

About Hammenhög Independent School

Hammenhög Independent School is an independent operation in Simrishamn municipality with a preschool, after-school center and compulsory school for grades F–6. The principal is Hammenhög Independent School Economic Association, where the board largely consists of engaged guardians.

We currently have about 90 students in the school and 45 children in the preschool.

Our operation is characterized by the keywords nature, culture, creativity and health promotion. We use, among other things, gardening and culture as pedagogical tools for play, learning and development.
