IES in Landskrona opened in 2017 and is a F-9 school. Here, nearly 600 students and almost 70 staff members meet daily. We are a bilingual school, English-Swedish, that follows the Swedish curriculum. Our meetings are mostly held in English. The position is a permanent employment at 90-100% with start date 2026-08-07. A probationary period is applied for the first 6 months.
About us and the position: At Internationella Engelska Skolan in Landskrona, we work to create an inspiring and engaging learning environment where students develop both their creative skills and self-confidence.
We are now seeking an engaged textile crafts teacher for grades 4-9 who wants to motivate and challenge students in their learning. Together with your colleagues, you will plan and conduct teaching that sparks curiosity, develops problem-solving skills, and creates a deeper understanding of everyday life. You will become an important part of our team and contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Job duties:
- Plan and implement inspiring pedagogical activities according to LGR22.
- Develop a positive learning environment where all students feel seen and heard.
- Collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and others to ensure students' holistic development.
- Document and follow up students' individual learning processes.
- Teach in both Swedish and English.
- Mentorship for 16 students in grade 4.
Who are we looking for?
You are:
- Licensed teacher with qualifications in textile crafts
- Pedagogical and creative in your work with students.
- Empathetic and responsive to students' individual needs and development.
- Committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to grow.
- Experienced in working with pedagogical documentation.
- Very good knowledge of the curriculum.
- You have direct and humble communication and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, colleagues.
- Very good knowledge of English.
