Your Tasks
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting and leading students in need of extra adaptations and special support, both in classroom situations and individually.
During school days, you will primarily meet students in the four grades 6-9. Teaching takes place in full class, half class, third-class groups, as well as smaller groups and individually based on needs. Activities occur both in classrooms and in group rooms separate from the class. Your role includes teaching mainly in smaller groups and with individual students in Math/Science, but also to some extent in full and half-class math.
You will take particular responsibility for the work and goal achievement in mathematics and science for relevant students and student groups, but will also need to be comfortable with and interested in the school's other subjects to some extent.
The work is done together with the teaching teacher, support staff, and special educator to create the best conditions for each student.
You need to be comfortable with motivational conversations, alternating between a coaching approach and clear leadership - all depending on the context and the conditions of the moment; when to adapt requirements, when to step back and pull out an ace up your sleeve.
You will work with students who need support to reach the minimum goals, as well as students who need stimulation and challenges to achieve as much as possible based on their individual conditions. Experience working with particularly gifted students is meritorious.
The position is part-time at 50-80% / as agreed, permanent employment, and working hours are adapted based on current class and student schedules.
Start date is at the start of the semester in August, 2026-08-11 or as agreed.

KMS Kullavik Montessori School, south of Billdal, is a dedicated and parent-driven F-9 school without profit interest, where the child starts as a 1-year-old in preschool, developing knowledge and abilities, and leaves KMS' creative environment and good study climate at age 16, with roots and wings for the future.
The school, with about 370 students and 70 employees, is located close to nature with a forest clearing, pond, farm, and villas as the nearest neighbors. We have a high teacher density, good results, and a safe environment. Visitors often notice the warm reception and pleasant atmosphere.
Teachers' commitment is frequently highlighted. Staff think the students' sparkle and nice colleagues are the best. Our students say the relationship with educators and the good food from our own kitchen. Former students believe they learned to take responsibility and gained good knowledge in all subjects.
About the Application
If you think you will thrive in and contribute to KMS's culture - commitment and professionalism, unity and community, care and safety - we would like to meet you as soon as possible.
