About the School

The school is beautifully located on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm C. The principal is a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality, and we are a modern Waldorf school that is constantly growing and developing with just under 190 students distributed from preschool class to grade 9, and after-school care.

Gnesta Waldorf School is characterized by a holistic view of students aimed at developing the whole person – thought, feeling, and will. Some things that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with cross-curricular theme periods and aim to integrate creative activities such as art, crafts, and music into all school subjects.

The Employment

The position is a permanent employment at 90-100% that begins with a probationary period of 6 months. Start date is August 10, 2025.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to lead the work in your subjects based on Waldorf pedagogy.

You will have both music in grades 2-9 and Spanish in grades 5-9.

You will be part of a team that works together to help students reach their highest potential.

As a subject teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating students' education, individually and together with colleagues, student health, and school management. You should also promote good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians through meetings and documentation.

Qualifications

• State teaching license or Waldorf teaching license.
• You easily create a creative environment for students, where play, nature experiences, and relationship building are a natural part of everyday life.
• You have the ability to spark curiosity and wonder in your students.
• Interest in Waldorf pedagogy and the desire to develop as a teacher and person.
• Several years of experience in the profession is meritorious but not a requirement.
