About the School

The school is beautifully situated on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm C. The principal is a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality, and we are a modern Waldorf school that continuously grows and develops with nearly 190 students from preschool class to grade 9, as well as after-school care.

Gnesta Waldorf School is characterized by a holistic view of students aimed at developing the whole person – thought, feeling, and will. Some features of our pedagogy include working with cross-curricular theme periods and integrating creative activities such as art, crafts, and music into all school subjects.

The Employment

The position is a fixed-term employment at 60% during the school year 26/27. Start date is August 10, 2026.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to lead the work in your subject based on Waldorf pedagogy. You will teach grades 2-9.

You are part of a team that works together to help students reach their highest potential.

As a subject teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating students' education, individually and together with colleagues, student health, and school management. You will also promote good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians through meetings and documentation.

Qualifications

• State teaching license or Waldorf teaching license.
• You find it easy to create a creative environment for students, where relationship building is a natural part of everyday life.
• You have the ability to spark curiosity and wonder in your students.
• Knowledge of and/or interest in Waldorf pedagogy and the willingness to develop as a teacher and person.
• Several years of experience in the profession is required.
