Description

Are you a confident, communicative, and analytical leader who wants to contribute to the continued development of our Insurance Department? Do you have several years of managerial experience as well as experience from the government sector working to lead and drive operational development? Then we can offer you a key role with exciting challenges where you will work closely with both management colleagues and employees.

The Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency functions as an asset manager, insurance company, procurement body, and legal agency for the government administration. Among our many assignments from the Riksdag and Government, we insure government operations. The Insurance Department of the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency effectively serves as the government's insurance company, working with risk management and claims adjustment for government agencies and foundations. Our operations cover the insurance areas of personal, travel, operations, and vehicles, totaling about 30 different insurance products. The Insurance Department has just over 40 employees divided into three units and a staff.

We are now seeking a unit manager for our Personal Injury Unit. The Personal Injury Unit handles personal injury claims related to various insurance products for travel by different types of students at universities and for personnel stationed abroad. Processing also includes personal injuries concerning individuals linked to the major government agencies: the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish National Agency for Education, the Swedish Transport Administration, and the Swedish Police Authority. We also handle compensation for those who have suffered vaccine-related medication injuries.

Our operations are currently undergoing extensive digitalization, developing e-services and platforms to ensure more efficient processing and high service levels. We offer a new activity-based office in Karolinen, Karlstad.

Job Description

As a unit manager, you will lead and develop the operations together with approximately 20 employees. The role encompasses both operational and strategic work, where you are responsible for ensuring a well-functioning workflow, following up on employees' work situations, and maintaining ongoing dialogue at both group and individual levels. You have overall responsibility for analyzing, monitoring, and setting goals for the operations, and together with management colleagues collectively contributing to the management and development of the department as a whole. The role also includes external contacts with subcontractors.

You actively participate in the development of the department's and unit's working methods and are part of the Insurance Department management group, where you are expected to actively collaborate and share information. In your role, you report to the Head of the Insurance Department. Travel in the line of duty may occur.
