Your tasks – create conditions for stable operations and long-term development
You have operational, budget, and personnel responsibility for the section and lead teams within IT management, architecture, workplace, infrastructure, operations, security-protected environments, and data warehouse. You ensure secure, accessible, and cost-effective IT services. The role involves close collaboration with operations, management, suppliers, and national partners. You switch between strategic and operational issues and take overall responsibility for stable and appropriate solutions.
Your main tasks will include:
- Ensuring stable, secure, and appropriate IT operations and infrastructure
- Responsibility for IT management with clear governance, processes, and roles
- Enabling architecture and development work in close collaboration with the business
- Ensuring management of security-protected IT environments and regulatory compliance
- Providing strategic support to management and steering groups within IT and architecture
- Following up suppliers and developing partnerships for stable and cost-effective delivery
- Enabling analysis, impact assessments, and environmental scanning
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background in IT or equivalent experience. You have documented experience in leading operations and personnel within IT, as well as good knowledge of IT management, governance models, and lifecycle management. You also have experience in IT infrastructure and a good understanding of security requirements and cybersecurity.
You are communicative and accustomed to reporting to management and steering groups, and have experience in supplier management and monitoring contracts and SLAs. You can balance operational stability with long-term development and innovation. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Swedish citizenship is required as the position is security-classified.
It is advantageous if you have experience in:
- Public sector operations
- Security protection according to current legislation
- Agile development and how management and operations interact in agile environments
- Leading an organization through change

About us
The position is placed in the IT unit, which consists of approximately 30 people. The Section for Architecture and Digital Systems is part of the unit and includes around 15 employees. In our organization, digital development and stable, secure IT delivery are high on the agenda. We are at the beginning of an important transformation journey where we are modernizing our IT environment and will review our existing working methods to become as efficient as possible, focusing on improved collaboration and value delivery.

Good to know
The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. This position is security-classified, which means a security vetting and background check in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act will be carried out. For permanent employment, a wartime placement at the authority may become applicable.
