Content Architect / Program Curator
Description
Do you want to work at one of Sweden's leading meeting places for architecture, design and crafts? Form/Design Center is now looking for an engaged architect (or equivalent) with expertise in sustainable transition for a comprehensive competence development project funded by the ESF. The project is a central part of the development of the Knowledge Centre for Designed Living Environment, a regional resource for collaboration and knowledge building run in close cooperation with Region Skåne and the Regional Museum of Skåne.
The initiative focuses on building knowledge around the shift from new construction to management, renovation and reuse, and aims to strengthen professionals in the sector through relevant, work-integrated competence development. Specifically, the project targets key issues for the transition together with actors in southern Sweden – such as architects, planners, antiquarians, property managers and developers in both the private and public sectors – to create a common foundation for the green transition in practice.
About the role
As a content architect and program curator, you play a key role in developing and curating the project's educational content. You work at the heart of the project, turning complex transition issues into practically applicable knowledge for the sector's actors in their professional everyday lives. The focus is on increased utilisation of existing structures in Skåne and shifting the perspective from new construction to strategic management and renovation by integrating research, policy and legislation into the project's content.
In this role, you have main responsibility for shaping, developing and coordinating the project's training initiatives, courses and knowledge sharing. You work in close collaboration with the project management, external experts and the professional participants to ensure that the content contributes to increased competence and strengthened understanding in the participating organisations. We are looking for someone who is driven by producing and making cutting-edge knowledge accessible that makes a real difference in the community building process.
Main responsibilities
- Develop and curate course content and training on topics such as renovation, reuse and sustainable design based on the industry's transition needs.
- Coordinate and assure the quality of training initiatives in close collaboration with experts, speakers and partners.
- Contribute to the development of the project's knowledge platform (texts, lectures, digital material).
- Facilitate and plan network meetings, courses, workshops and seminars.
- Ensure relevance by integrating research, policy and legislation into the project's practical content.
- Develop methods for work-integrated learning that strengthen participants' competence in their daily work.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a degree in architecture or equivalent academic competence in community planning and building.
- Has broad experience in renovation processes, sustainable development or similar expert areas.
- Has a good understanding of the sector's challenges and needs related to the transition.
- Is a skilled and perceptive pedagogue who can transform complex knowledge into inspiring and useful content.
- Is structured and proactive, with the ability to drive the project forward both independently and in a group.
- Is used to collaborating with various types of actors and thrives in a networking role.
Meritorious
- Experience in educational design, course development or knowledge dissemination.
- Experience of working in or with the public sector.
- Knowledge of EU policy, circular economy or climate calculations.
- An established network within academia, authorities or the community building industry.
About the position
The position is a part-time employment at 65% linked to the ESF project. You will have a developing work environment where you contribute to raising the knowledge of the community building industry in Skåne, for both public and private actors, in a setting that reaches a broad audience. You become part of a regional project with the goal of contributing to long-term competence development at both regional and national levels.
Location: Malmö, Form/Design Center.
Start: June 1 or by agreement.
Duration: 24 months.
About the project
This position is part of the ESF-funded project "Knowledge Centre for Designed Living Environment", a strategic effort that scales up knowledge about the built environment to equip the community building sector in southern Sweden for the green transition. By focusing on reuse, circular methods and strategic management, we create a bridge between academia, antiquarian expertise and practical application for professionals throughout the region. The project is run by Form/Design Center in close collaboration with Region Skåne and the Regional Museum of Skåne and is co-financed by the European Union (ESF+) as a central venture to strengthen competence supply and climate transition in our region.
