The operation is licensed to provide housing with special services in the form of a group home according to section 9 § 9p LSS and is aimed at person group 1. The facility consists of six fully equipped apartments with a high standard. The group home is located in a quiet and harmonious residential area in central Eksjö. Direct proximity to both the city center, public transport, grocery stores, and activities, while still having nature around the corner.

What does the job entail?

As a housing support worker, you work to support, motivate, and develop the individual's ability to carry out various activities in daily life. Your task is to create structure, predictability, and routines in the individual's everyday life through individually designed support. Our goal is, through adapted methods, working approaches, and treatment, to create conditions for increased quality of life and good living conditions for the individuals who get the opportunity to make a home in our facility. We want every individual to feel participation and influence in their life situation and experience an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment.

As a housing support worker, you offer support and service in all parts of life where there is a need, and tasks may include:

• Daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping
• Leisure activities, occupation, and outings
• Personal care and hygiene
• Social interaction and communication
• Social documentation and drawing up implementation plans
• Collaboration with relatives, representatives, authorities, and healthcare
• Support and motivate the individual based on need and ability to increase independence in daily life

Who are we looking for?

We are now looking for several housing support workers and/or support pedagogues for our team!

Working hours are scheduled according to the needs of our residents and include both weekdays and weekends, and can vary between day, evening, and sleeping on-call. We are also looking for a position that involves only awake night shifts. Weekend work every other weekend.

We are looking for someone with a big heart for the target group and a strong will to make a difference for each individual. You enjoy working with people, have a good ability to adapt your approach to the needs you encounter, and cooperate easily with those around you. As a person, you are perceptive, flexible, solution-oriented, and have a sense of service. You should be confident in facing situations that can be stressful and challenging. You see opportunities in changes, take initiative, and take responsibility as part of the team to achieve development and desired results.

Qualifications:

- Adequate education in healthcare and social care. We prefer if you are, for example, a support pedagogue, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or have other equivalent education.

- Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

- We require good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

- B driver's license

It is a strong merit if you have:

- Previous experience working with the target group in LSS operations or other similar operations.

- Experience and training in various relevant methods and approaches such as low-arousal approach, AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), clarifying pedagogy, and motivational interviewing.

- Experience with comorbidity, complex needs, and challenging behaviors.
