Temporary Priest / Pastor

With us you will enter into a positive ecumenical collaboration with Sävarå Church (Equmenia and Pentecostal) and with the Sävar-Holmön parish through the Church of Sweden. Your work is in a circle with several EFS associations, where Sävar EFS constitutes the largest part of the position. The EFS associations are within the Sävar-Holmön parish. Your task is to be a priest/pastor in the associations, with priority given to work with young families, children, and youth.

Duties include, among other things:

• Worship services and devotions

• Contact with members and inspiration for volunteer work

• Participate in development work

• Conduct pastoral care conversations

• Planning and administration

• Work with EFS Västerbotten's joint activities such as camps

• Possibly lead children's choir activities

We are looking for someone who is ordained for ministry within EFS or the Church of Sweden, or has education/experience equivalent to a pastor position. You are well-grounded and confident in the Christian faith. You are self-sufficient but also enjoy collaborating with others. You have a class B driver's license. It is meritorious if you are comfortable leading children's choir activities or playing an instrument.

The position is 100% between September 1, 2026 and May 31, 2027. It is a varied position with positive challenges in a rapidly growing community just outside Umeå. In Sävar there is a good ecumenical climate and good cooperation with other associations.
