Student/Class Resource - Ebba Brahe School

In autumn 2017, Ebba Brahe School opened on Kvarnholmen. Our vision is to provide world-class education with a love for learning and give our students Sweden's best knowledge development. We have students from preschool class up to grade 9.

We are now looking for a confident, responsible, and engaged student resource for our team. The position involves supporting a student in the lower primary level during the school day and in after-school care. An important part of the assignment is to contribute to the student's safety and daily support, including support related to self-care for type 1 diabetes based on clear routines and guidance from guardians, student health services, and medical care.

You will work closely with the school's teachers and after-school staff to create a safe, structured, and positive school day for the student.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has completed high school with good results. It is important that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with children, preferably in school, after-school activities, camp activities, sports clubs, or similar contexts.

Experience working with children with special needs or knowledge of diabetes is meritorious but not required. The most important thing is that you are responsible, confident, thorough, and able to follow routines and instructions.

You are a curious and warm person who interacts well with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are solution-oriented, have good collaboration skills, and can create safe relationships. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

It is important that you are punctual, structured, and have good attendance, as continuity is particularly important in this role.

The school and Kvarnholmen

The school is located on Kvarnholmen with proximity to forest and sea. Although Kvarnholmen is primarily associated with industry, it largely consists of archipelago nature and on the island's eastern tip, right next to the school, the existing green area is being developed into an oasis with activities and recreation. There are good communications to Kvarnholmen, and you can take a bus from Slussen in about 15 minutes. It is also possible to take a boat from Nybroplan or from Lidingö, which takes you to Kvarnholmen in 20 minutes.
