Wood and Metal Sloyd Teacher at Entréskolan Stockholm

Are you interested in developing our students' creative and artistic abilities, preferably in collaboration with other subjects? We are now looking for a teacher qualified to teach wood and metal sloyd for grades 4-9 at Entréskolan in Stockholm. The position is 55% with teaching in wood and metal sloyd in grades 4, 6, and 8, as well as within the art profile. All sloyd teaching takes place in half-class groups. Teaching in our art profile is a deepening of the subjects art and sloyd together. Together with the music, theater, and music profiles, the art profile works as part of the teaching with scenography (costumes, props, sets) for the annual performance. Experience with such collaboration is meritorious. The position also includes mentorship for a group of students.

Admission to the art profile is through a skills test.

Entréskolan is an aesthetic primary school for grades 4-9 with a focus on active learning through creative expression based on aesthetic forms in interdisciplinary work areas. Entréskolan is located in Västerås, Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and Örebro. We offer four aesthetic orientations: theater, music, dance, and art.

We are looking for someone with previous experience working with adolescents in primary school. At Entréskolan, the school year is divided into interdisciplinary work areas where teaching is planned collectively by the teachers for a group of students. As a teacher at Entréskolan, it is therefore important that you thrive in a role where collaboration is central. We would like you to have good IT skills as much of the work is done with digital tools. As a person, you thrive in an assignment with great personal responsibility and space to take many initiatives, but also can listen and collaborate with others. You are creative and are happy to come up with new ideas and approaches.

Education

You have relevant education and experience. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and willingness to work with subject integration in active learning using the computer as an educational tool.
