Stockholm International Academy in Häggvik, Sollentuna, is a well-established F–9 school that opened in 2016. The school is located in a quiet, nature-near area with good transport connections via both commuter train and bus. Approximately 350 students attend, from preschool class to grade 9.

We are an independent school that follows the Swedish curriculum, and teaching is in Swedish.

Our well-equipped specialized facilities for sloyd, home and consumer studies, and science create good conditions for learning and creativity. The school has two schoolyards that encourage play and movement – moreover, a small forest is one of our closest neighbors.

About the position

We are now looking for a certified teacher in wood and metal sloyd for grades 3–9. The position is 80% spread over four working days per week. You will collaborate with our textile sloyd teacher – each responsible for half a class.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher qualified in wood and metal sloyd
• Has experience teaching grades 3–9
• Has clear and confident classroom leadership
• Is accustomed to working digitally and language-developingly
• Is flexible, cooperative, and proactive
• Has good ability to engage with students and guardians
• Is well-versed in the primary school curriculum and general guidelines
