Finance Manager for Blekinge Student Union

Job Description

We are looking for someone with experience in finance, accounting, or office work who is seeking a full-time position. As a person, you are committed to the organization you work for. You are social and enjoy interaction with others.

As Finance Manager, you are primarily responsible for all financial matters within the student union. You are also a signatory for the organization. The position involves financial administration, including invoicing, accounting, financial statements, and payroll disbursement. Additionally, you are responsible for organizing the bank accounts of the Blekinge Student Union's bodies, managing executive members' bank cards and related contracts, liaising with the bank and financial auditors, reporting finances at council meetings, and having ultimate responsibility for the annual budget.

• Be ambitious, committed, proactive, flexible, and meticulous
• Good communication and collaboration skills, and a willingness to grow
• Good computer skills and good knowledge of Excel
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

About Blekinge Student Union

Blekinge Student Union is an association of students at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), with the main purpose of conducting student monitoring activities and safeguarding members' interests regarding their studies at a local, national, and partially international level in general, and at BTH in particular. The student union also looks after members' study-social interests.

Blekinge Student Union has two full-time remunerated positions, the President and Vice President, as well as 130+ voluntary elected officials spread across six sections and eight study associations. The sections and study associations are overseen by the Student Union Board, which is led by the President and Vice President. Each individual body has its own chairperson, secretary, and finance officer.

Blekinge Student Union has an annual turnover of approximately three million SEK, with the majority of revenue coming from our student pub, government grants, and membership fees.

Place of Work

Karlskrona, with the possibility of remote work.

Full-time.

Start Date

June 1, 2026, with paid training in June.
