YOUR ROLE WITH US

As a specialist in the Preparedness Unit, you will work on concrete measures aimed at enabling the public to make payments during peacetime crises and heightened preparedness.

Work on payments preparedness involves analyzing risks and vulnerabilities as well as identifying and implementing measures that strengthen resilience. This work is carried out in close collaboration with companies deemed particularly important for maintaining payment capability in Sweden, as well as authorities within the financial services preparedness sector. The unit is also responsible for the Riksbank's regulations in the preparedness area and monitoring compliance with these regulations, and it plays a central role in crisis management within the payments area through its responsibility for the management function that can be activated if disruptions to payments occur.

YOUR TEAM

The Riksbank consists of nine departments. The Preparedness Unit belongs to the Department for Internal Control and Business Support and currently comprises twelve employees with expertise in areas including preparedness, payments, and total defense law. The unit's work is conducted in close collaboration with other departments.

ABOUT YOU

You have a relevant education, for example in economics or political science, or other education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in the financial sector and a good understanding of how the payment system in Sweden is structured. It is especially meritorious if you also have experience in crisis preparedness, civil defense, or military defense. Experience in project management and cybersecurity is also meritorious.

You are a stable person with good judgment, work structured, and are skilled at presenting and communicating your message. You are accustomed to independently driving your tasks forward, both individually and with others, and take responsibility for contributing to the unit's long-term goals. You are meticulous in your work, have problem-solving analytical skills, and thrive on collaboration with others. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Employment type: Permanent employment; a probationary period may apply

Location: Head office Brunkebergstorg Stockholm

Working hours: Flexible working hours

Remote work option: 1 or 2 days per week

This position may be classified for security clearance; security screening including background check, security interview, and special personal investigation will be conducted for the final candidate. Some positions require Swedish citizenship.
