Senior Communicator – Strategic Communication in Public Projects

Do you want to work in a complex and socially important project where communication plays a crucial role? We are now looking for a senior communicator with strong strategic ability and operational implementation skills.
As a communicator, you will have a central role in the project, responsible for planning, driving, and developing communication in close collaboration with project managers and other partners. The assignment is characterized by many stakeholders, a fast pace, and a need for clear, coordinated, and goal-oriented communication.
Your main areas of responsibility
Your tasks will include:
- Developing and implementing a communication strategy and communication plan
- Identifying, planning, and executing communication efforts targeted at:
- politicians
- steering group and project team
- internal and external stakeholders
- the public and media
- Driving communication work proactively and strategically together with other communicators
- Ensuring quality and anchorage of communication deliverables
- Producing and developing:
- communication plans
- texts, images, video, and presentation materials
- content for web, intranet, and social media
- graphic profiles and governing documents
- Handling received feedback from the public and stakeholders
- Planning and participating in meetings with different target groups
- Following the project's progress through active participation in project meetings
- Ensuring that communication work is delivered with the right quality and progress
Candidate profile
We are looking for someone with:
- At least 10 years of experience as a communications strategist/communicator
- Experience as a responsible leader in at least one assignment
- Documented experience of strategic communication in complex projects (at least 3 assignments), including:
- at least one assignment with media interest from the public
- Ability to use communication as a strategic tool to:
- achieve project goals
- analyze target groups and stakeholders
- adapt messages and channels
- build and develop the project's brand
- Post-secondary education (at least 3 years) in media and communication studies or equivalent
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Other
- CV must be attached where the above skills are clearly shown
- Experience from the public sector or community development projects is meritorious
