Church caretaker/parish host sought for Ljungby Maria parish

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people in different situations, is service-oriented, and can work both independently and together with others. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

You will be part of the Ljungby Maria parish work team. The position involves weekend duty two out of three Sundays and one out of three Saturdays. In addition, Ljungby Maria parish's caretakers work one out of three Sundays at Ljungby Church. The position involves regular work in the evenings.

The role includes service at worship services and church ceremonies, i.e., baptisms, weddings, and funerals. In addition, it includes cleaning, care of inventory, coordination and responsibility for activities' refreshments, as well as catering at gatherings. Baking and cooking may also occur.

Qualifications

Experience in caretaking/service work is meritorious. Some computer skills are required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and assume that you share the church's faith and values. Driver's license and access to a personal car are meritorious.

Employment conditions

Permanent employment 100%. Start in September or by agreement. Salary according to collective agreement. We apply individual salary setting. Employment requires membership in the Swedish Church and presentation of an extract from the criminal record. If called for an interview, such an extract will be requested.
