Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad AB is looking for a Production Manager

Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad is a production partner to customers in marine, defense, aerospace, and industrial systems. About the position

We are looking for a driven production manager who wants to join us in developing our operations. The role is part of the production management group and reports to the production manager. The purpose of your role will be to lead and ensure efficient production through daily optimization of resources to achieve:

• A safe working environment for employees
• Correct quality for customers
• On-time delivery to customers
• Good efficiency for profitable business

Your tasks will include, among others:

• Daily management: Responsible for the daily production operations within the department. Monitor, prioritize, and coordinate activities to ensure production meets planned times and expected quality.
• Personnel responsibility: Lead and develop personnel within the department, staff including recruitment, responsible for training, salary setting, and employee reviews. Daily communication and follow-up on times.
• Quality control: Monitor and ensure that planned control and quality assurance operations are carried out within the department.
• Continuous improvement: Drive and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
• Problem management: Responsible for identifying and resolving production-related problems or deviations in cooperation with relevant departments to ensure minimal production disruption.
• Reporting and analysis: Collect and inform the team about the department's performance regarding P-numbers, utilization rate, backlog, quality deviations, accidents, and incidents. Together with the team, identify root causes and improve department performance.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an engaged leader with high ambition who enjoys working hard in a changing business.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe that you:

• Have a university degree in engineering, production, or similar field, as well as training in leadership, lean production, work environment, and quality management.
• Have at least 3, preferably 5 years of relevant experience from a producing business, as well as extensive experience working with ERP systems such as Monitor.
• Have had and enjoyed personnel responsibility.

We would like you to have previously worked in producing companies, preferably with customers in defense, aviation and aerospace, or automotive industry.
