School Doctor for Long Term Assignment 50-70% in Avesta September 2026 - September 2028

The assignment involves school health care according to the school's basic program, as well as medical investigations, e.g., conducting investigations for students throughout the municipality prior to possible placements in adapted schools.

The school doctor, together with the responsible school nurse, shall have medical leadership responsibility and responsibility for quality review for the municipalities. Advice and support shall be given to the municipality's head of student health and to the municipality's school nurses.

The assignment includes meeting all students and their families with respect. To meet the individual's needs and ability to communicate this regardless of the individual's circumstances.

There shall be close cooperation between the various actors in student health and between school health care and the schools' student welfare, where the principal has the overall responsibility for promoting the students' good health.

The school nurse plans, organizes and implements the basic program in collaboration with the school doctor.

The school doctor shall be able to provide competence development for school nurses.

The school doctor shall be on site every week, two days per week, 40% on site and 10% available by phone and email during the week.

Reception of students can take place from 8:00 AM to max 4:00 PM two days a week and during the period September 1 – May 31.

The school doctor must, however, also be available during other school year time by phone and for participation in planning before the start of the school year.

Some flexibility regarding the above-mentioned times will be required.

September 8, 2026 – September 7, 2028, the client has the right to extend the contract period by an additional total of two years on unchanged terms according to appendix Specification of Requirements.
