Project Manager - Mass Handling (Infrastructure)

Would you like to work on one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects? We are now looking for an experienced project manager in mass handling for the Tvärförbindelse Södertörn program – a strategically important venture linking Kungens Kurva and Jordbro.

You will be responsible for leading and developing mass handling within the program. The role involves developing strategies, coordinating project needs, and ensuring sustainable, efficient, and circular management of large volumes of soil and rock materials.

You will work closely with project management, specialists, and external stakeholders, contributing to strategic decisions in logistics, environment, and permits.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mass handling strategies for the program and projects
• Ensure planning for surplus materials and circular mass management
• Identify areas, logistics solutions, and transport optimization
• Address issues related to sulfide-bearing materials
• Drive dialogue with municipalities, county administrative boards, developers, and supervisory authorities
• Support projects in contracts, negotiations, budgeting, and cost issues
• Identify risks and opportunities and prepare decision-making materials
• Participate in permitting processes and coordination within the program

Qualifications (Requirements)

• Relevant university education (minimum 180 credits) in civil engineering, construction engineering, or chemical engineering
• Several years of experience in mass handling within infrastructure, including classification of soil and rock materials and logistics planning
• Experience in environmental permitting processes and work with permit applications
• Experience in contract and negotiation work with external parties
• Good knowledge of material management in contracting operations and relevant legislation, including handling of sulfide-bearing materials
• Good knowledge of standard contracts (AB, ABT, ABK) and AMA
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and presentations
