Automation Engineer Full Stack Developer

At Östberg, we work to have products at the forefront of technology. Currently, much of the development in the ventilation industry is about making products smarter. This means we are now in an intensive period with increased digitalization of our products.

We are looking for an Automation Engineer with a particular interest in system development and programming to combine technical ventilation solutions with smarter homes.

As a system developer with us, you will work on short- and long-term projects in both new development and maintenance of existing systems. You will contribute to developing business-critical systems, digital services, and future technical solutions in ventilation.

You have a post-secondary education of at least three years in automation or equivalent.

You have at least three years of relevant work experience and are used to working independently. You have good collaboration skills and are accustomed to working both within and outside the organization to achieve expected results. You can express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Desirable competence areas:

• Backend development in Python, JavaScript, PHP, or C#
• Frontend development in React, Angular, or Node.js as well as HTML/CSS
• Version control in Git/GitLab
• Development of APIs and integrations
• Hardware-near programming and optimization
• Programming of platforms based on microcontrollers
• Modern web standards including responsive design
• Web server systems
• Simulation, verification, and debugging.

With us, you will have partial responsibility for maintaining existing control systems for our products, as well as being a driving force in developing new software-based solutions. This involves being able to make changes to software yourself and/or specifying improvements that are then implemented by subcontractors. You are responsible for the technical dialogue with suppliers.
