Description

Do you want to work in a solution-oriented team with high availability and a clear focus on creating safety for children, youth, and their families? We are now seeking employees for our newly launched project, the Intensive Team for Children and Youth – an acute and intensive outpatient effort that quickly engages in complex cases where needs are extensive and interventions must be implemented without delay. The Intensive Team's mission is to prevent placements, create stability in the home environment, and enable sustainable solutions that allow the child or youth to remain at home – or receive secure and structured support upon return from placement. The intervention is time-limited but intensive and is carried out in close collaboration with family, social workers, and other stakeholders.

Your Tasks

  • Work intensively and flexibly with children/youth aged 0–20 and their families.
  • Conduct safety- and stability-building work in the home and within the family's network.
  • Work with milieu therapy and solution-focused approaches through practical and treatment-oriented interventions.
  • Assess and activate family resources and coordinate with relevant stakeholders (e.g., school, child and adolescent psychiatry, disability services, police).
  • Plan and follow up interventions together with the responsible social worker and contribute to long-term solutions after the intensive period ends.
  • Contribute to high availability outside regular office hours according to the operation's setup

Who Are You?

  • You are solution-oriented and proactive, with a strong desire to contribute to children and youth having a safe everyday life.
  • You are good at building relationships, you remain steady in difficult conversations, and you can stay focused even in acute situations.
  • You thrive in a mission where one 'doesn't say no,' where endurance is needed, and where you, together with others, create structure, safety, and progress.

Requirements

  • Degree in social work or other relevant higher education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families in social services/outpatient care and/or similar operations.
  • Good ability to work in a structured, independent manner while closely collaborating with colleagues and partners.
  • Comfort in working in complex and pressured situations and ability to quickly build alliances and trust.
  • Ability to document and communicate clearly in speech and writing.
  • Class B driver's license.

Meritorious

  • Experience with intensive change work in the home (e.g., MST/FFT, Signs of Safety, family therapy, or similar).
  • Experience working with high school absenteeism, norm-breaking behavior, and/or mental health issues.
  • Familiarity with coordination with external stakeholders and work in multiprofessional contexts.
  • Training in MI, solution-focused approaches, CBT-oriented methods, or other relevant further education.

We Offer You

  • A meaningful mission with a clear focus on preventing placements and creating stability for children and families.
  • Work in a specialized team with close collegial support and paired work.
  • An operation with high trust and mandate to act quickly, practically, and solution-focused.
  • Close collaboration with authority units and external stakeholders.
  • Introduction and opportunities for competence development based on the mission's needs.

You will belong to Outpatient Care for Children; our unit consists of a unit manager, three group leaders, and three teams of family therapists. Together, we work to ensure children and families receive professional and evidence-based support. We are a warm group with self-distance who have fun at work. We work for a continued good work environment so that we all enjoy our workplace and each other. We have external supervisors. We will give you an individually tailored introduction. You will receive method support led by group leaders.

The work involves high availability and will include interventions outside regular office hours, evenings, and weekends, according to agreed planning. The position is part of a project, but you are offered a permanent position within Children and Youth.
