The assignment involves a man in his 60s who resides in northern Gotland (Lärbro). He lives with ALS and needs safe, professional, and respectful support in his daily life. Here, you will have an important role in a small work team where continuity, responsibility, and collaboration are crucial.

There are both a dog and a cat in the home. Therefore, it is important that you are not allergic to fur and appreciate the company of animals.

This is a job for you who are responsible, attentive, and understand the importance of integrity, self-determination, and continuity. As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and are an important support in his daily life. The work is performed in the home and in the environments where he spends time.

The work tasks may include:

• Personal care
• Support in daily routines
• Transfers
• Accompaniment during activities and errands
• Practical support in the home

The work requires presence, patience, and an ability to adapt to the client's daily condition and needs.

The work is structured, and you will receive a clear introduction to aids and routines.

Working Hours and Employment

The client has assistance around the clock. The working hours for night shifts are from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM. Between 10:00 PM-10:30 PM and 8:00 AM-8:30 AM, there is double assistance.

The available position is full-time and is scheduled by agreement. We aim for continuity and long-term planning in scheduling. We prefer that you are flexible with working hours and also have the ability to work weekends.

The employment begins with an hourly position until you have gotten to know the client and work tasks better. If the personal chemistry works between you and the client, it will transition to a permanent position by agreement.

Since we are actively recruiting, we prefer that you can start immediately and can work a large part of the summer.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Driver's license B and access to a car (mileage allowance is provided under specific fulfilled requirements)
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Ability to work according to the position's scheduling

Meritorious:

• Experience working as a personal assistant
• Experience with ALS or other neurological diseases
• Care and nursing education (e.g., nursing assistant)
