Description

We are growing and need more engaged colleagues! We are now looking for treatment assistants who want to help create security, stability, and future hope for children in need of special support.

Insikten has been present in almost all of Sweden since 1996, with its main office in Sala. We are a group that operates residential care homes, supported housing, and foster care. Together, we are over 60 employees who work every day to give children and young people better conditions in life. Our driving force is simple but important – that every child should have the opportunity to feel secure, seen, and understood.

About the operation

For our residential care home, we are now seeking treatment assistants who want to work with boys aged 11–14 years. The children living with us are facing various difficulties and often have neuropsychiatric issues. They need a stable and predictable daily life where adults are close, provide clarity, and create security.

One of our most important tasks is to ensure that the children have a secure and safe environment, where they can develop at their own pace and where their needs are always at the center.

About the role

As a treatment assistant, you are a central part of the children's daily life. You work closely with the young people and contribute to creating structure, stability, and meaningful relationships. Together with your colleagues, you work in a team and receive regular supervision from the operation's psychologist.

The work includes, among other things:

  • creating and maintaining a secure, safe, and predictable environment for the children
  • responding to and understanding the children's individual needs and difficulties
  • working based on individual behavior support plans
  • following the operation's routines and treatment methods
  • contributing to a positive and developmental daily life

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have at least a two-year post-secondary education in a relevant area, for example:

  • social worker
  • social educator
  • support educator
  • behavioral scientist
  • or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Merits

  • experience working in residential care homes or similar operations
  • knowledge or experience of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)
  • knowledge of PBS (Positive Behavior Support)
  • experience of TMO (Trauma-Informed Care)

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are secure, responsible, and engaged. You have a genuine interest in working with children and young people and understand the importance of creating stable relationships. You are a person who can remain calm in challenging situations and always prioritize the children's security, safety, and development first.
