As a team leader, you contribute to a safe and secure environment for both placed children and youth as well as employees. SiS youth home Ljungaskog is planning to start a new department in Helsingborg and is therefore seeking a team leader.
We are looking for a team leader for a discharge preparation department in Helsingborg.
In our discharge preparation department, youth are on their way toward a more independent life. The department is part of the youth home but is located in a residence outside the youth home's area. Youth belonging to our discharge preparation departments will live and spend their leisure time in apartments or other housing forms outside the youth home. The youth attend external schools or have internships. Treatment activities primarily consist of skills training aimed at preparing the youth for a functioning life after their time at SIS, both practically and socially.
In the role of team leader, you work actively in the operational care and treatment work at the department. You are responsible for planning, operationally leading, and distributing the daily work. You act as a role model and promote that the work is conducted legally secure and in accordance with applicable governing documents, methods, and set goals. You keep the unit manager of your department continuously updated on issues that may affect the work environment, care and treatment environment, or deficiencies in the operations. Introduction and supervision of new employees are also part of your work. You are part of a team with a unit manager and treatment secretary, and you will have close collaboration to together create good results.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in the role as team leader, you are motivated by working with and helping people in vulnerable life situations. The operational work and meeting with youth are your primary focus. You are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work in an efficient way and are clear in your communication with others. At the same time, you are attentive and affirming in your interactions with youth and employees and good at building relationships. You have a professional approach and a good ability to collaborate as well as to understand others' perspectives. The work is sometimes challenging and requires that you are stable and maintain calm even in stressful situations.
You should also have:
- Relevant university degree with a focus on social, care, or behavioral sciences or other education in combination with work experience that SiS considers equivalent.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
